DAYS LIKE THESE…

I recently partnered with Umgee Plus to style a few items for them. For those of you that don’t know Umgee is a wholesale retailer based in LA and while they don’t have a public shop their pieces are carried in many boutiques. Most of the clothes are pretty versatile and I love the bright pops of color! I am always on the lookout for options at every different pricepoint and often when I am styling pieces I look for accessories that I already have in my closet. This is one of my favorites and you can find a few of these tops and dresses on my website now!

Yellow clutch - Zara. Shoes - Tory Burch.

LOVELY IN LA LOVES LIVING DOLL LA!

I was thrilled when local brand Living Doll Los Angeles reached out to me to style a few pieces for them. Their boho chic vibe is so on point and perfect for LA (and anywhere else really!) They’ve got everything from t-shirts, jackets, denim and more. Plus their prices are a bargain and their clothes are made here in LA. Most of all, I love how the clothes feel and fit. They really are a young, fun brand and I am so glad they started offering plus sizes!

I styled the Tube Jumpsuit and the Floral Pencil Skirt which can both be found on the Living Doll LA website.

PATTERN PLAY

I’ve been working with Stylzoo lately to put my fashionable take on a few of their pieces they recently sent me. I immediately loved the color and versatility of this Geometric Kimono which can be worn open or belted like I did. I paired it with my white skirt and grapefruit colored pumps for that extra pop. You can shop my closet here where this top is currently available (I just launched my shop today!).

Outfit Details: Top - Stylzoo Geometric Kimono, Skirt - Torrid, Shoes - Inc, Handbag - Rebecca Minkoff (a new fav of mine!) Belt - Lane Bryant, Jewelry - mix from Target, House of Harlow, Torrid.

RED HOT - OOTD FEATURING KIYONNA DRESS VIA GWYNNIE BEE

I always look forward to my little packages from Gwynnie Bee and this was the first time in a long time I had tried a dress by Kiyonna. I love the fit of this dress! The fabric was a little heavier than most Kiyonna pieces however the thickness of the fabric hid all the right things and the color was  just what I was looking for. Since I was in a hurry, I paired this look with my Vince Camuto heels in nude and my go to Torrid bracelets.

LOVELY IN LA LOVES SINGLE DRESS

One of my current favorites is the Piera top by Single Dress available online at Saks (might even be on sale now!). The bold silk print, color and cold shoulder detail jumped out at me immediately. I paired this top with white shorts, my Blue Tory Burch wedges and straw bag to pull this look together.

BEACH DAY!

One of the things I love most about LA is the easy access to the beaches! Naturally my friend and I, fellow blogger Goldandthebeautiful, can’t go anywhere without turning it into a photoshoot. So I thought I why not share the results!

ORANGE CRUSH!

Sometimes you rediscover pieces in your wardrobe that you’d forgotten about which can be a nice treat. I purchased this skirt from Banana Republic last year because of its gorgeous orange color and hadn’t had the chance to wear it out, until now! I couldn’t quite find a top that I liked so I belted the skirt and wore it as a dress. When your options are limited you sometimes have to get a little creative. I like stores like Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy because most of the time their XL’s are quite generous which allows me to actually shop in straight sizes (OMG! I know!) Again, I am all about options so if it fits well and I love it, I’m gonna wear it!

OUTFIT DETAILS: Skirt (worn as dress Banana Republic) Shoes (This season Banana Republic) Clutch (Top Shop) Bracelets (Torrid) Necklace (House of Harlow via Nordstrom)

MIX N MATCH

I love playing with textures, yet I sometimes don’t do this enough. I knew when I saw this Tory Burch bag and tank top at the Nordstrom Rack (I just noticed yesterday that Forever21 has almost the same top too!), I had to have them! I paired the top with my Torrid Denim, Michael Kors jewelry and Stuart Weitzman wedges for a fun but casual weekend look.

FLORAL FANTASY

We’ve had some crazy hot temperatures in LA recently so I’ve been looking for some fun summery pieces to wear. This dress from Eloquii caught my eye immediately on their website and I knew I had to have it! Since I’m kind of a minimalist when it comes to accessories and I like a more simple polished look, I paired this with my orange Ted Baker clutch for a pop of color, my go to Banana Republic shoes for this season and my Torrid bracelets.
