LIVING DOLL LA - GLAMPING EVENT

I already love Living Doll LA and was so excited when they told me about their collection preview “GLAMPING” event. This was such a cute event and really true to the fun brand that LDLA is! Plus I love spending time with my girls, Reah of Styled By Reah and Monique of Curves and Chaos.

If you haven’t had a chance to checkout Living Doll out, do it now! The clothes are made in LA, fresh, fun, great quality, totally on trend and very affordable. I’ll be sharing some more of my favorites from their collection later on the blog.

Outfit: Rachel Pally Irina Dress
Necklace: Nordstrom Rack
Shoes: Vince Camuto
Bracelet: Danielle Gibson Designs

TART DECO

I love it when my favorite straight sized brands venture into plus and they do it right! Enter TART whom I have been a fan of for quite some time. I already owned a few of their fun dresses in a size XL before they started making true plus sizes.

I love this dress because its a fun print, its super comfortable, and it fits perfectly. As we start to (hopefully) transition more into fall in LA, I can easily throw my jean jacket over this dress and pair it with something other than sandals ( I swear I own boots and close toed shoes - I just rarely wear them!).

Dress: TART (c/o Gwynnie Bee)

Shoes: Via Spiga

Clutch - Marc Jacobs

Gold Bracelet - Danielle Gibson Designs

SAYING FAREWELL TO SUMMER (sort of…)

Fall has most definitely arrived and even in LA I can feel the evenings getting cooler as the weather changes seasons. This bright printed maxi by Rachel Pally was def one of my fav summer pieces and will be in full wardrobe rotation as we transition from the warm days into the cooler nights.

FD AVENUE - FROM LONDON WITH LOVE

When FD Avenue reached out to me to try out some of my favorites I couldn’t say no! I loved this floral strappy bodycon dress reminiscent of one of my favorites from Dolce & Gabana years ago.I pulled this look together for an outdoor garden gathering in LA and kept it simple with my favorite white pumps, white clutch and a pop of yellow in my necklace.

Also, FD Avenue carries quite a large selection of dresses, tops and skirts up to size 26 UK and to top it off they really have some fun, sexy pieces. Make sure you check them out!

REVISITING THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS

I was in search of the right dress for an upcoming event and stumbled on this fun black dress at Torrid. I am huge fan of asymmetrical pieces because they just have a way drawing the eye to all the right places. Throw in a little ruching and I’m sold! I kept my accessories simple but made a statement with my Kenneth Cole gold necklace, chunky bracelet and Rebecca Minkoff studded clutch.

FALLING INTO IGIGI - URBAN JUNGLE COLLECTION

It’s definitely that time of year to start thinking about Fall Fashion but due to the LA weather my mind hasn’t even started to go there yet! When Igigi reached out to me recently, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Dominique Faux Wrap Dress! I have been a fan of Igigi for a while (you may see a few pieces pop up on the blog now and again) but I have to say that their most recent collections have me really excited! This dress had me channeling my inner Missoni/Diane Von Furstenberg vibe. I styled it with my vintage Michael Kors bag, Cole Hahn Purple Pumps and Gold Jewelry by Danielle Gibson Designs for a more classic but chic look.

Overall the Fall Urban Jungle Collection is so on point and has some of the perfect transition pieces for the Summer into Fall season. I love the rich colors, vibrant prints, chic silhouettes, perfect fit and how well this collection easily transitions from day to night. There is definitely something for everyone and with their new collection release only days away, I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Dress: c/o Igigi. Shoes: Cole Hahn, Purse: Michael Kors, Jewelry: Danielle Gibson Designs. All opinions are my own.

Sunday Funday

My friend was visiting and I wanted something fun, chic and comfy to wear for our Sunday events. I’ve really been into prints lately and this dress from TBags Los Angeles was calling my name. Normally I don’t go for shapeless dresses however I threw on my LWJ (little white jacket) to give it some structure. I also have a really hard time finding great quality jewelry that works for me but my friend has a jewelry line ( Danielle Gibson Designs based in NYC) and was kind enough to gift me some pieces that work well on all body types. Check her out she’s got some gorgeous handmade pieces!

SIMPLY BE IN LA EVENT

I am just getting caught up with everything from all of my jetsetting the past few weeks and haven’t posted as many things to Lovely in LA as I would like! SimplyBe recently visited LA for a collection preview and I wanted to share a few of my favorite photos from the event! I am really excited for their upcoming collection and if you aren’t familiar with them go check out their site now! They have some really great fashion forward plus friendly pieces at reasonable prices.

Using Fashion To Empower & Educate Women - Sseko Designs

I was so excited when Sseko Designs reached out to me to feature their sandals on my blog. Not only are they super cute, comfy and versatile but they really are a fashion brand who is about doing good. In a nutshell Sseko Designs is an ethical fashion brand that hires high potential women in Uganda to make sandals to enable them to earn money through dignified employment that will go directly towards their college educations and ensure they will continue pursuing their dreams.

Right now you can purchase a pair of handmade Sseko sandals and get 20% off on their website using code summersteals. Head to www.ssekodesigns.com for more.

FLORAL FANTASY

I am really a sucker for a cute floral dress during the summer months! This BB Dakota dress via Gwynnie Bee was just what I was looking for as I headed out to a friends brunch event. Feminine and flirty go together perfectly with this dress. If you haven’t had a chance to check out BB Dakota yet, I recommend you do! I love some of their pieces and they are very on point with my style.

DAYS LIKE THESE…

I recently partnered with Umgee Plus to style a few items for them. For those of you that don’t know Umgee is a wholesale retailer based in LA and while they don’t have a public shop their pieces are carried in many boutiques. Most of the clothes are pretty versatile and I love the bright pops of color! I am always on the lookout for options at every different pricepoint and often when I am styling pieces I look for accessories that I already have in my closet. This is one of my favorites and you can find a few of these tops and dresses on my website now!

Yellow clutch - Zara. Shoes - Tory Burch.

LOVELY IN LA LOVES LIVING DOLL LA!

I was thrilled when local brand Living Doll Los Angeles reached out to me to style a few pieces for them. Their boho chic vibe is so on point and perfect for LA (and anywhere else really!) They’ve got everything from t-shirts, jackets, denim and more. Plus their prices are a bargain and their clothes are made here in LA. Most of all, I love how the clothes feel and fit. They really are a young, fun brand and I am so glad they started offering plus sizes!

I styled the Tube Jumpsuit and the Floral Pencil Skirt which can both be found on the Living Doll LA website.

PATTERN PLAY

I’ve been working with Stylzoo lately to put my fashionable take on a few of their pieces they recently sent me. I immediately loved the color and versatility of this Geometric Kimono which can be worn open or belted like I did. I paired it with my white skirt and grapefruit colored pumps for that extra pop. You can shop my closet here where this top is currently available (I just launched my shop today!).
